01. write it down
Sometimes, the best way to release some of your stress is not to hold it in, but rather to let it out.
By writing out your feelings, not only do you take pressure off yourself but when all’s said and done, you’ll look back at your words and realise that things were never as bad as you perceived it to be.

02. support
One thing we often forget during times of stress, is that we are not alone. We are surrounded by those near and dear to us, who are ready to drop everything and come to our aide if necessary.
By acknowledging others and actively reaching out to them for support, it will greatly lessen the weight that we hold on our shoulders. Remember, your friends and family are more than willing to share your burden if it makes your big day easier on you.

03. meditation is key
It may not sound like much, but spending just 5 minutes at the start of your day to meditate and focus inwards will do you a great load of help. By embracing the silence and clearing your mind of racing thoughts, it will enable you to start your hectic day with a sense of peace and comfort. This foundation will only help you in going through your day without burning yourself out too quickly.

04. take a moment to breathe
Regardless of how important our wedding day is to us, we must allow ourselves some time in our day to pause, and breathe.
As the day progresses, you might find that things may start getting overwhelming, or that you’re being spread thinner than you expected. In these times, pushing ourselves further may seem like the best option — but finding a minute to stand back from everything and taking a deep breath to re-centre yourself will do you a world of good.

At the end of the day, you have to take a moment and realise that this is your special day, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so you have to allow yourself to enjoy every moment of it. Revel in the festivities, let go of all the weight on your shoulders, and focus on creating amazing new memories with your loved ones as you begin this new chapter in your life.
